Accenture to run accounting systems for London Olympics

Games organising committee chooses IT consulting group
IT consultancy firm Accenture has
been chosen by the London
Organising Committee (Locog) for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympics
Games to run the events back office systems, which will include its finance and
accounting, the London 2012 workforce and procurement functions.
The committee said in a statement that the Accenture contract will not cover
games time operating systems or the core games management systems that relay
results, events, athlete information to spectators and media around the world at
games times.
These IT systems will be provided by consultants
Atos Origin
Accenture beat BT Global Services, IBM and CMG to win the contract.
