HMRC to reveal tax avoidance disclosures

Number of tax avoidance disclosure schemes made to department to be revealed twice a year

The number of tax avoidance scheme disclosures received by HM Revenue &
Customs will be revealed twice a year.

HMRC said many requests had been received asking about the number of
disclosures made to the department, and had decided to provide more information.

Tables will include a table with direct tax and stamp duty and tax, and
another with VAT.

The first set of figures will be released on 31 October.
