Whiting collects lifetime achievement award

Industry veteran picks up top tax honour

John Whiting, outgoing tax partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has been
honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the LexisNexis Taxation Awards.

Whiting, who retires from PwC at the end of June 2009 and will assume the tax
policy director role at the Chartered Institute of Taxation, has been with the
firm for 37 years.

Barry Marshall, UK head of tax at PwC said: ‘The award nomination included
testimonials from clients, industry bodies, colleagues and journalists who were
unanimous in their praise of the huge impact John has had – both professionally
and personally.’
