Parmalat UK sold
Parmalat UK has been sold as a going concern within 48 hours of the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers as administrators.

Mike Jervis, Michael Horrocks and David Hargrave were appointed joint administrators on Monday and late yesterday they announced its sale to Dale Farm, a Northern Ireland based dairy processor.
Jervis said: ‘We are very pleased to have achieved a sale of the UK dairies business, thereby safeguarding around 200 jobs. This prompt action ensured a seamless transfer of the business.’
Dale Farm has expanded rapidly and the purchase of Parmalat UK, a relatively small part of the Parmalat Group world-wide, is its fourth acquisition in just three years.
The sale did not include the importing activities of the business.
