Audit Commission praises Kent Council
Kent County Council receives its highest-ever rating
The Audit Commission has
awarded Kent County Council its highest
ever-rating for the services it provides.
The council was awarded the top four stars rating overall – and it was
closely followed by Medway Council
which received three stars.
Council leader Paul Carter said: ‘This is a tremendous performance. It is a
tribute to everyone who works for Kent County Council who is willing to go that
extra mile in providing value for money for Kent residents.”
Medway Council leader Rodney Chambers said the score demonstrated the
council’s ability to constantly deliver value-for-money services for the people
of Medway.
