BDO Stoy Hayward shakes up leadership team

Simon Michaels streamlines his leadership team due to the 'fast-moving market place which requires us, like other businesses to adapt'

Simon Michaels, managing partner of BDO Stoy Hayward has announced changes to
his leadership team for the second time in eight months.

The most significant of the changes, which will be introduced on 1 April,
will see Paul Eagland take responsibilty for both audit and tax, while Michaels
takes charge of the firm’s people agenda.

Jeff Jones joins the leadership team as Head of North, while Tony Perkins,
Head of Audit and David Anderson, Head of People will leave the panel, but
continue in their senior audit roles within the firm.

Michaels said: ‘These changes to the team are in recognition of the fact that
we operate in a fast moving marketplace which requires us, like other
businesses, to adapt.

‘Audit and tax have the same quality and service ambition in heavily
regulated markets therefore close alignment is key. Paul Eagland has a strong
appetite to lead further growth of our market share, capitalising on
opportunities during the downturn.’

Michaels, Carl Williams, Chief Operating Officer, Gervase MacGregor, Head of
Advisory, Paul Eagland, Head of Audit and Tax, Sophie Hill, Head of South, Jeff
Jones, Head of North make up the team, and Dermot Matthias continues as Senior
Partner.

Michaels added: ‘A constant focus on clients and the motivation and retention
of high quality people are key drivers for the firm. I have spent the last month
travelling around the country meeting and discussing the business and the market
with a substantial number of our staff and am truly impressed with the quality
and commitment of everyone at BDO.’
