JD Edwards focuses on ERP integration
JD Edwards is staking a claim in the race for interoperability between ERP packages, with a new enterprise-wide customer service management module.
The Customer Service Management System (CSMS) extends the recently announced Scorex product (Supply Chain Optimisation and Real Time Extended Execution), integrating with the next version of Oneworld, JD Edwards’ ERP system, which ships in the fourth quarter.
Michael Schmitt, the company’s senior vice president, said CSMS was developed in conjunction with several customers, including Lexmark International, Itron and Oshkosh Truck.
“They realise the strategic value of deploying an infrastructure that links every point of customer contact and interaction throughout the supply chain, from call centre and service management to distribution and manufacturing,” said Schmitt.
Tony Praza, director of information systems at Itron, endorsed CSMS: “CSMS, integrated directly into our ERP system, and the new ability to extend post-sales services will have a significant impact on customer satisfaction and the bottom line.”
