Mark Palios, chief executive of the football association, former insolvency practitioner and former Tranmere Rovers midfielder, will advise young chartered accountants on their future careers at the institute's younger members' focus day.

The former PricewaterhouseCoopers’ partner is expected to speak on ‘Avenues to Success,’ reflecting on his career and highlighting the path he took to reach the high point which he is currently experiencing in his career
Other speakers will include Howard Dodd, chief financial officer of Boots plc, who will also be speaking on his road to success.
The conference will take place in Leeds on 26 September and is aimed at ICAEW members aged 36 and under.
