John Cresswell, the finance director of ITV, has been appointed as the
broadcaster’s interim chief executive after the resignation of boss Charles
Allen resigned as the head of ITV yesterday, citing relentless criticism as
the reason for his departure.
Cresswell will take over as ITV interim chief executive in October, but will
definitely not be considered for the full-time role, the FT reports.
