Numerica advises team on Mayflower bid

Listed accountancy consolidator Numerica is advising one of the consortium's bidding for the Vehicle Systems Transbus Division of Mayflower, the embattled busmaker currently in administration

Adrian Doble, head of the Turnaround Management Group at Numerica said he had a assembled a team to bid for the entire Mayflower Transbus division.

This follows speculation in the press about various offers for the Mayflower division, including a bid from Graham Mulholland, the UK businessman. According to the FTMulholland has backing from investors including David Jones, the chairman of Next, the UK retailer.

Administrators from Deloitte are believed to have received 10 bids including one from former Mayflower management led by Terry Whitmore.

Emailed bids must be submitted by 21 April.
