ICAS in bizarre new marketing 'drive'

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland has launched a bizarre new marketing venture - it is driving two taxicabs around Edinburgh and Glasgow to promote its accounting services.

ICAS said the use of the cabs would reinforce the institute’s commitment to helping businesses succeed and will market its ‘Business Care’ initiative, which highlights all the services an accountant can offer a business.

Both cabs will be available for the exclusive use of ICAS members.

Alasdair Young, the institute’s director or member services, commented: ‘The two Care cabs will help to raise awareness of the broad range of services a CA can provide.’
