New BSkyB finance chief off to a flier
Jeremy Darroch, the new finance director of British Sky Broadcasting, has received a substantial share allotment on his first day in the job.
The broadcast giant awarded Darroch £1.18m in shares, the Daily Mail reported.
The share options are in addition to a £500,000 annual salary, and a potential annual bonus of £600,000, plus other benefits such as a £60,000 car.
Darroch left high street electronic goods retailer Dixons to replace Martin Stewart who quit after failing to beat James Murdoch to the chief executive post at BSkyB.
