Building group Redrow has come a long way since its humble beginnings in a bungalow in North Wales in 1974, and is expected to unveil a healthy set of annual results next week.
Group finance director Neil Fitzsimmons joined Redrow in 1997 and has run the group’s finances during a landmark period leading up to its 25th anniversary last year. The company celebrated by announcing record profits of £55.6m with a turnover of £342m.
In 1994 Redrow was listed on the stock exchange and is now in the FTSE 250 directly employing more than 1,000 staff.
Since floating, Redrow, based in Rhyl, North Wales, has continued on its upward path. Last year it won a tendering process to develop a multimillion pound leisure centre project in Liverpool city centre, including 14-screen cinema, budget hotel, bars, restaurants, and health club.
