Bunker makes a splash at Thames as he reaches end of road at Tarmac

Tarmac has lost its finance director, Chris Bunker, to utility giant Thames Water, where he will take up the reins as group finance director from April.

Bunker has been finance director at Tarmacsince 1996.

Thames chief executive Bill Alexander said: ‘He will make an excellent contribution to the next phase of the group’s development as we build our presence in the international market.’

Bunker is both a fellow of ACCA and a member of CIMA.

Thames said in October 1999 that its current FD David Luffrum planned to retire.
