AccountancyAge.com news focus: Tax and the Budget

What welcome there was for yesterday's Budget was somewhat guarded as tax experts searched for signs of hidden horrors in the Budget papers. Full coverage can be found in AccountancyAge.com's Budget area.

We are asking you to tell us what you thought of the Budget in our online poll. Bottles of champagne are on offer for the best comments.

Over the rest of the week we will be adding items to our comment area as people digest Gordon Brown’s offerings.

New features due to appear on AccountancyAge.com this week include a look at how to money out of e-business, an issue that has come into focus this week as Lastminute.com’s share price sunk below its offer.

We will also be looking at the role PricwaterhouseCoopers has to play in the Oscar ceremony this weekend.

Other big news covered by AccountancyAge.com this week has included the attempt by accountancy services consolidator Tenon to shake-up the mid-tier – it claims it will bring 12 firms together into one group which could rival the Big Five within eighteen months.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has also suffered a blow by being dropped as auditor by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
