New finance chief for RAC
RAC, the car recovery company bought by services company Lex, has appointed Richard Pennycook as its new group finance director.

Pennycook, 39, will leave his position as finance officer at cider maker, HP Bulmer. He brings a wealth of experience having previously been chief executive of Welcome Break, finance director of Laura Ashley and JD Wetherspoon, as well as president of Allders International North America.
He will begin his role at the RAC plc, in August, with Andrew Harris, the group’s chief executive saying Pennycook will play ‘a central role in taking the company to the next stage of its development by exploiting organic growth opportunities.’
