    US accountant charged with murder

    Sacked accountant alleged to have gone on shooting rampage

    LaCalamita    , an accountant who was sacked from his job and is then alleged to
    have gone on a shooting rampage soon after, has been charged with murder.

    Yesterday, prosecutors charged LaCalamita with the first-degree murder in the
    death of Madeline Kafoury, a receptionist at the firm, and also charged him with
    two counts of intent to murder in the shootings of the firm’s partners Paul Riva
    and Alan Steinberg.

    He was also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm in the
    commission of a felony and one count of fleeing and eluding police.
