Edward Norman, 50, an accountant from Sydney, Australia has been jailed for
at least 29 years for organised the contract killing of a Sydney solicitor.
The hitman received a 28 year sentence.
Norman was sentenced after being convicted by a
Supreme Court jury last year over
the murder of Sydney solicitor Tom Williams.
Williams was shot dead in 2004 by a hitman hired by Norman to prevent a fraud
from being exposed, the court was told.
Norman was the director of an accounting practice base at
Burwood,
an inner west suburb of Sydney.
With time already served, Norman will be eligible for release on August 16,
2035, when he will be 78.
