Barbara Richmond kicks off her tenure as group FD of housebuilder Redrow, the
FTSE 250 company announced today (18 January).
Richmond succeeds David Arnold, whose departure was announced in December,
and who will leave the company after a brief handover period.
In announcing her appointment, Redrow cited Richmond’s strong background in
both manufacturing and retail as well as experience of corporate transactions –
having completed a number of major acquisitions and disposals throughout her
career – and refocusing businesses.
Steve Morgan, chairman of Redrow, said: “We are delighted that Barbara is
joining the group and look forward to benefitting from her wealth of strategic
and commercial experience.”
Her previous roles included group FD of car distributor and retailer Inchcape
plc and chemicals company Croda International.
“I am very pleased to be joining Redrow at this exciting time in its
development and I look forward to working with Steve and the rest of the team
enormously,” Richmond said.
