British Airways accountant becomes finance chief at net travel company
British Airways has lost one its senior finance experts to the Online Travel Corporation, where he takes the post of finance director.
Robert Faulkner, chartered accountant with 17 years in the airline industry, was general manager commercial partners at BA and was responsible for developing anf marketing BA’s co-branded credit cards, travel insurance and private banking products, as well as the development of BA Executive club partnerships.
He said: ‘To be joining OTC at this stage of its development is both exciting and challenging.
‘It is my view that OTC is well-placed to exploit the rapidly growing internet services market through its innovative approach of developing strategic partnerships.’
OTC operates as a travel agent, tour operator and airline consolidator.
