Godbehere to depart the Rock
The financial director parachuted in to sort out the embattled bank's books is to step down from the board on January 31, before officially leaving at the end of February
Ann Godbehere is to leave her post as the CFO of Northern Rock.
In a statement to the City the bank said: ‘Northern Rock plc announces that
Ann Godbehere, Chief Financial Officer will step down from the board on 31
January and leave the company at the end of February 2009.’
The former Swiss Re FD was brought in last February after the government
effectively nationalised the bank by placing it into a period of ‘temporary
public ownership’.
Northern Rock added that it had kicked off the search for a new CFO, but no
decision had been made as to who would replace Godbehere.
