Film star wants beancounters to find his missing millions
Actor Tommy Lee Jones has called on auditors to review the finances of
Oscar-winning film No Country for Old Men amid claims he is owed millions of
dollars for his role.
Lee Jones, who starred in the film as sheriff Ed Tom Bell, claims he is owed
$10m (£5.6m) in unpaid bonuses and that his initial fee was unjustly reduced,
reported The
Independent.
His lawsuit claims that co-producers Paramount were aware of problems
contained within his contract before he signed it.
Advisers are increasingly being used by film stars to sift through
complicated profit-sharing contracts with studios, to make sure they are paid
correctly.
