Sir Michael concludes royal rape tape investigation

Former finance director to the Queen and ex KPMG partner, Sir Michael Peat, was yesterday at the heart of a report which laid bare one of the most embarrassing sagas in the history of the monarchy as his investigation into the now notorious rape tape allegations finally concluded.

Sir Michael’s inquiry has looked into the handling of male rape allegations by George Smith, former valet to Prince Charles.

Yesterday saw Sir Michael, private secretary to the prince, go public with the conclusions of his report in what would have been one of the most stressful moments of his working life.
