Targeting small, midmarket and corporate customers, the company announcedthe general availability of Microsoft Business Network, the upcomingdelivery of two demand planning modules and an extension of its relationshipwith Autodesk, an independent software vendor.
‘Microsoft Business Solutions is making significant investments in ourcurrent ERP solutions, which are critical to the ongoing success of ourcustomers and business partners in general and manufacturing industriesspecifically,’ said Mike Frichol, general manager of manufacturing industrysolutions with Microsoft Business Solutions, in a statement.
According to the company, its Microsoft Business Network is a combination ofon-premise software integrated with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Business Solutions applications and/or Microsoft BizTalk Server, and hosted webservices.
The platform is designed to help businesses more easily work with their trading partners by allowing them to connect their network of suppliers and customers through an automated Microsoft .Net-infrastructure.
