Agresso wins lucrative university back-office software deals

Business software provider Agresso has won over a million pounds’ worth of
contracts in May, including a deal to implement a range of software modules at
the University of Wales.

The Wales deal includes financials, project, purchasing, HR and payroll
technology.

Systems accountant Robert Cox said that with 60% of the university’s £70m
expenditure spent on staff, it was ‘very important’ that HR and payroll was
fully integrated.

‘It is easy to slice and dice the information in any way that you need, and
feed that data down to front line staff to use to manage their budgets and
research programmes,’ added Cox. ‘It will also help our move towards much
greater use of e-procurement.’

Other deals struck by Agresso included the royal Academy of Music, and Leeds
Metropolitan University.
