The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development lauds tax haven moves to exchange information
The OECD has praised tax havens’ efforts to become more open after 300
information exchange contracts were signed last year.
The multinational body described the agreements as “one of the big success
stories of the G20.”
The number of agreements “skyrocketed” in the run-up to a London summit last
April summit, before G20 leaders agreed to “stand ready to deploy sanctions”
against non-co-operative jurisdictions,
the
FT reported.
