Link: New CFO at AOL Europe
David Wolffe, an engineer by training and an MBA graduate, has taken on the position and will report to AOL UK’s executive vice president and co-managing director Mindy Mount.
Earlier this week parent company, AOL Europe, appointed Giles Spackman as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Wolffe joins from BBC Worldwide where he was finance director for the Magazines and Consumer Publishing division.
Commenting on his appointment, Mindy said: ‘We are delighted that someone of David’s calibre is joining us.’
An internal review of AOL’s accounts revealed in October that the company had overstated its revenues from advertising by $200m (£129m) prior to its merger with Time Warner.
