FSA gets new legal eagle

Margaret Cole named director of enforcement

The Financial Services Authority has appointed a new chief investigator, it said yesterday.

Margaret Cole, currently commerical disputes partner in the London office of US law firm White & Case, has been appointed director of enforcement at the city watchdog. Legal sources described her as ‘formidable litigator’ whose presence at the FSA might lead to it taking a more adversarial approach.
