KPMG has nabbed head of its insurance actuarial services from rival E&Y
Tim Roff is joining
KPMG
from Ernst & Young, where he was global and UK actuarial leader. Before his
role at Ernst & Young, Roff was a principal of Tillinghast-Towers Perrin.
KPMG said its clients would benefit from Roff’s ‘particular expertise in
leading major actuarial consulting assignments for a wide range of financial
services organisations’.
Roff said he was ‘excited to be working across KPMG Europe to further develop
our insurance risk and actuarial team so we can provide the marketing-leading
solutions and support our clients require’.
He said it was critical for the insurance industry to find business partners
like KPMG who had a strong understanding of the regulatory, compliance and
financial reporting issues and their bottom-line implications.
