End of an era at Saffery Champness

London-based Saffery Champness has announced the election of Rob Elliott as its new managing partner, the first such appointment at the the mid-tier firm for more than a decade.

Elliot, currently the finance partner at Saffery’s, will replace incumbent managing partner Clive Nicholson who has guided the firm for the last 12 years.

He will take up the post on 1 April 2002

Elliot described his appointment as a great honour and one that he is very much looking forward to.

He added: ‘Following in the footsteps of Clive [Nicholson] will be a difficult task and he is to be thanked for his immense contribution over the past twelve years. During this time, the firm has built up its strong regional network and consistent growth in London has culminated in our recent move to larger premises at Lion House.’

Elliott originally trained with Armitage & Norton and became a partner with Saffery Champness October 1987.
