Scottish Power appoints finance chiefs

Simon Lowth to become executive director, Finance & Strategy.

Scottish Power has appointed Simon Lowth, currently the energy group’s corporate strategy and development director, as the head of its finance function.

Lowth is to take on a dual role, looking after both his former beat and the finance department.

In recognition of the extra workload, however, Keith Cochrane is to take over the day-to-day running of financial issues as group director of finance, below board level. Cochrane was previously group financial controller.

Lowth joined Scottish Power in September 2003, and was previously at Mckinsey, where he ran the consultancy group’s industrial practice.
