Scott Barnes, formerly of the firm’s corporate finance division, has been made managing partner for specialist financial services and Steve Edmonds, who has been on the firm’s national management board since 1998 is to become managing partner for entrepreneurial business services.
Former corporate finance partner, John Mews, will handle special projects alongside managing partner Cleary.
Cleary, who stepped into the shoes of recently promoted global chief executive David McDonnell, said the team would be responsible for steering the Grant Thornton’s development.
‘With the new management team on board I think we’re well placed to build on the firm’s strong foundations in this market place whilst expanding our presence in special financial service areas,’ he said.
