Roger Matthews to chair RHM's audit committee
Former Sainsbury’s group FD Roger Matthews has joined RHM, which produces
brands such as Bisto and Sharwoods, as a non-executive director.
Matthews will serve as chair of the group’s audit committee, as well as
sitting on the remuneration and nomination committees.
He spent six years as group FD at Sainsbury’s, having served in the MD and FD
roles at Compass. He is the non-executive chairman of Sainsbury’s Bank and Land
of Leather Holdings.
‘Roger’s in-depth knowledge of food retailing and strong financial background
will be equally important as we continue RHM’s transformation, and he is ideally
qualified to be chairman of our audit committee,’ said RHM chairman Jan du
Plessis.
