MSIF announces first investment

Merseyside Special Investment Fund has announced the first investment from its new £80m fund, Agility.

It goes to a chemical logistics business formed as a result of a management buy-out from chemical giant ICI.

MSIF funding has been awarded as a part package totalling £1.7m, which includes funding from Barclays as well as a regional selective assistance grant from the Department of Trade & Industry. The fund provides finances to SMEs in, or relocating to, the Merseyside area.
