Microsoft launched an updated version of Great Plains 7.5, with an added analytic accounting tool and FRx 6.7 – a web-based budgeting and reporting tool for medium-sized businesses.

CODA introduced Collaborative Close, designed to make period end closure ‘visible, auditable and repeatable’ for medium to large-sized businesses.

Albany Software extolled the virtues of its BACSTEL-IP compliant software. It meets the requirements needed for the necessary upgrade to an internet-based BACS system, which all companies will need to switch to by the end of 2005.

At the other end of the scale Norwegian-based Mamut Software launched its business software package in the UK, aimed at small businesses and accountants in practice.
