    A grand welcome ‘a l’anglaise awaited insolvency experts who came to the sixth world congress of INSOL International to be greeted by a real taste of British culture – and weather.

    Delegates arrived in torrential rain to be met by sodden Morris dancers hopping away in the downpour. And if that wasn’t enough ‘heritage’, a man dressed as Henry VIII was positioned to give directions. Delegates also witnessed steamy live scenes in an educational film that made more than one of them blanche.

    After this trip into the history books, the Lord Mayor of London, dressed in his traditional garb, opened the reception with a line, which bemused delegates: ‘Welcome to London, the financial capital of the world.’ ?:
