Jim Smart to leave insurance giant on completion of merger with fellow FTSE 100 player Resolution
Friends Provident FD Jim Smart is to leave the group after its merger with
Resolution, the zombie fund specialist.
The move is an another unlucky blow to Smart, who lhad to leave Boots after
its merger with Alliance
Unichem was
announced in 2005.
Earlier this week, Friends and Resolution issued a statement outlining the
details of an agreement which will see the two companies join up
to create Friends Financial.
In the statement Resolution’s finance boss Jim Newman was earmarked as the
group FD of Friends Financial.
The move is awaiting the approval of Friends and Resolution
shareholders before it can proceed.
