ICAEW to produce tax software benchmark
The ICAEW's IT Faculty is working with the Inland Revenue to produce a tax (personal and partnership) software accreditation within the next month.

It recently expanded its accreditation scheme with the addition of a practice management software accreditation, and also one for e-commerce.
Craig McLellan, product manager, product development at the faculty, said that the Revenue is looking into the faculty’s draft questionnaire ‘right now’.
‘It should be up and launched in August,’ McLellan said.
Also to be launched are document and record management and audit automation accreditations.
McLellan confirmed that software companies are already going through the accreditation process for the upcoming subjects.
