E&Y revealed as lead adviser on Vodafone acquisition

Consultants from firm help telecom buy Aspective

Ernst & Young has revealed that it acted as lead advisor to Vodafone UK’s
acquisition of e-business consultancy
Aspective Limited.

The acquisition is part of
Vodafone’s plans to evolve from a
mobile-focused company to a total communications provider.

Aspective specialises in business efficiency and control solutions for
customer management, information management and service operations.

It will help develop the technical capability required for mobilising
applications in Vodafone UK’s corporate customer base.

Simon Pearson a director at the firm and member of Ernst & Young’s
M&A advisory team
commented: ‘This transaction highlights the convergence of the traditional IT
and Telecommunications worlds as enterprises seek significant productivity gains
from providing mobile access to key business processes.’
