According to Steve Pipe, chairman of The National Campaign, and former Accountancy Age Entrepreneur of the Year, compared to other countries ‘we simply don’t have enough [owner managed businesses]’ and those we do are underperforming.
The campaign will be operated through accountant network AVN, of which Pipe is director. The £20m initiative is spread over five years and is made up of ‘time, money and resources’.
