New accounting software for HIV/AIDS charity
PS Financials replaces SunSystems at international charity organisation
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance, the European Union’s largest HIV/AIDS- focused development organisation, has awarded a £30,000 contract for accounting and business management software from PS Financials, in order to gain greater visibility of its financial activities.
The system, which replaces SunSystems software, is expected to improve reporting, budgeting and funds analysis on projects, and to provide greater transparency of information to donors.
Graham McDonald, senior accountant at the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, said that the system should also handle multi-currency transactions easily, which is ‘essential’ as the charity operates in a number of countries.
‘We report to our donors in US dollars, yet we make donations to international communities around the world, so we needed to be able to handle multi-currency payments very easily,’ said McDonald.
