An ambitious campaign launched by APS to attract resellers and extend
Advanced PayPoint Solutions – the IT solutions provider for independent small and medium-sized retailers – has launched an ambitious recruitment drive aimed at attracting 25 Sage Line 100 resellers by the end of the year.
The move follows the recent announcement by APS of the full integration of its PayPoint EPoS software with the Sage Line 100 integrated accounting Solution – as part of attempts by the company to bring an integrated retail IT environment to Sage users.
If the software house reaches the target, it would double the size of its existing reseller channel.
Bicester-based APS tentatively began the nationwide campaign in November, but has stepped up the initiative this month.
By integrating with Sage Line 100, the PayPoint system can provide a retail environment, with features including support for customer loyalty cards, and access to online information, such as stock enquiries, using the internet.
Nicholas Fraser, managing director of APS, said the target may prove to be too ambitious and admitted he would be happy to recruit 10 or 15 resellers.
He added: ‘APS is a unique offering because it is not tied to a particular accounting platform.
‘As well as integration with Pegasus Opera, back-office integration with Sage Line 100 is now available with more accounting platforms to follow.
‘We’re looking to aggressively extend our Sage Line 100 Reseller base throughout the UK to drive growth into this new market.
Since the launch of APS in September of last year, we have seen a huge demand from the SME retail market for the type of total retail solutions we offer,’ he added. A Sage spokeswoman, added: ‘We are delighted that APS is responding to the requirements of our customers in retail.’
Meanwhile Dragnet E-Business has extended the functionality of its e-business solution for Sage Line 50 users with the launch of Dragnet E-Business – Sage 7. It is able to provide SMEs using Sage Line 50 with the ability to integrate multiple delivery addresses, special pricing structures and company discounts as part of an e-business strategy.
A Dragnet spokesman said: ‘The enhanced link module is aggressively priced for the SME marketplace and with end-to-end functionality, is designed to be one of the most all encompassing e-business solutions available.’
