An accountant who is also a professional referee in the Scottish Premier
League issued a player with two yellow cards and then forgot to send him off in
a game over the weekend.
The match featured Falkirk and Hibernian, refereed by accountant Alan
Having already sent off Falkirk substitute Liam Craig for an altercation with
a Hibs fan during the first half, he then showed Falkirk midfielder Stephen
O’Donnell his second yellow card but failed to follow it up with a red.
Freeland was forced to ask the midfielder if he had been booked before, after
cautioning him for the second time.
Not surprsingly, O’Donnell denied he had.
Falkirk won 1-0.
