New structure mooted for struggling Press Gazette

Restructuring of Press Gazette's ownership suggested by administrator

Plans to restructure the ownership
Press Gazette
have been mooted as the search for a purchaser for company, which is in
adminstration, continues.

The paper, owned by Matthew Freud and Piers Morgan, went into administration
last week, with Robert Allen of Vantage Corporate Restructuring acting as
administrator.

A new structure has also been discussed for the paper, which would see it run
by an industry-wide consortium – a move that has been suggested would enable the
paper to have editorial independence while allowing it to operate as a business.
