Gentia Software has proclaimed 2000 as the year of the Balanced Scorecard - as it unveiled its WAP-enabled version - designed to allow executives to receive business-critical alerts and reminders through their phone.
The analytical applications provider has developed the Wireless Scorecard as an extension to previous Balanced Scorecard applications.
It is understood the new tools will be available during the third quarter of 2000.
‘We believe the number of companies engaged in enterprise deployment of the Balanced Scorecard will grow dramatically in the year 2000 as the ROI benefits increase,’ said Gentia spokesman Martin McCann.
‘Our intelligent applications, already deployed via pagers and mobile phones by some customers, are continually evolving to make the most of internet technologies, specifically WAP. Wireless internet will provide competitive advantage to organisations that recognise the importance of instant response for successful e-business,’ he added.
