PricewaterhouseCoopers has won a competitive tender to be re-appointed as auditor of the Electricity Pool of England and Wales, which provides the electricity wholesale market mechanism. PwC has audited the Pool since it was created at the start of electricity privatisation in 1990. A new contract was offered to the firm following a competitive tender required by European Union law.
