Meggitt FD, Stephen Young, paid half a million in first full year.
Stephen Young, group finance director of Meggitt plc, took home almost £500,000 in his first full year at the aerospace group.

Young was paid £494,424 for the year ended 31 December 2004, the company’s Annual Report and Accounts released today reveal.
Total board level pay at the FTSE250 group increased by almost 70 per cent on 2003. Profits before tax, goodwill amortisation and exceptional items were up 15 per cent over the same period, to £89.5m.
