Deloitte partner joins Amey as FD
Eric Tracey, audit partner at Big Four firm Deloitte & Touche, has been appointed acting finance director at support services group Amey.

Tracey will take on the role with immediate effect, taking over from Michael Kayser who resigned last week after only five weeks in the job.
A number of Amey’s largest shareholders called for crisis meetings following Kaysers resignation, and the appointment of Tracey will appease some of their worries over the future.
Tracey is expected to carry on the work of previous FD’s David Miller and Kayser and will make any recommendations about year-end provisions that may be required.
He will not become a director but remain as a Deloitte partner in order to remain independent, and is expected to remain in the post until March 2003 at the earliest when a permanent FD will be appointed.
Amey’s current auditor is Grant Thronton.
