Goldsack worked for PwC for eight years where he assisted a number of multinational and start-up companies with their strategy – including structuring spin-offs, reverse takeovers and advising on IPO-related issues. He also specialised in equity-linked products, structured finance and emerging market trading structures.
- Crown Business Communications has promoted Jennifer Connelly to the position of financial director. Connelly joined just over a year ago as financial controller, and has since restructured the company’s financial procedures. Connelly joined Crown from The Mean Fiddler, a promoters of live music in the UK where she held the post of festival accountant.
- Management consultancy EMC Limited has just announced the appointment of Chris Harvey to its board. Harvey who qualified with Price Waterhouse has over fifteen year’s experience of financial management. He joined EMC in November 1998, based at their Maidstone office. While there he played a key role in the formation of EMC Corporate Finance Ltd.
- Round-the-world yacht racing and sail event company Clipper Ventures has appointed Tim Cowper as finance director. Cowper, 35, joined the firm from Sterilox Technologies, where he has worked since 1997. After graduating from Sussex University he worked for Ernst & Young for five years. Prior to joining Sterilox he held various financial positions within Celtech Group Plc, rising to financial controller.
- Peter Somers has joined Sussex-based IT provider fdm group plc as finance director. After qualifying as an accountant in 1982, Somers specialised in multinational audits and corporate finance. He was previously finance director at MSB International plc, which floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1996.
