Accounting big hitters Sir David Tweedie, and Sir Bryan Carsberg, are to lock horns with tough issues in a public debate over national and international accounting standards.
Tweedie, chairman of the Accounting Standards Board, and Carsberg, secretary general of the International Accounting Standards Committee, will meet at the Manchester Business School to explore the subject and propose some solutions to problems.
To be held on 24 February the debate is sponsored by English ICA and will be chaired by Michael Prior. Tickets are available from the school.
